To create a partition on Windows 2003 Server, partition management software EASEUS Partition Manager Server Edition will help you. There are two situations of creating a new partition on your disk.
First, there is some unallocated space on the disk. You can create a partition on Windows Server 2003 with EASEUS Partition Manager Server Edition as following:
Select the unallocated space, click Create on the sidebar.
After that you may enter a partition label, select a drive letter, cluster size, partition size, partition type (Primary-Logical) and file system for the new partition.
Regularly, if the partition contains an Operating System, Primary should be selected for it. Or if the partition is meant for data storage, then Logical should be selected.
The second situation is that the disk has no unallocated space. The first thing you need to do is to resize the existing disk and then some unallocated space is got. Create a new partition as mentioned above.
EASEUS Partition Manager Server also allows you to perform basic and advanced partition operations on your Windows Server 2003 without data loss, including: resize and move partitions, delete (a or all)partitions, format partitions, hide and unhide partitions, set active partition, etc. Changes of partition on Windows Server 2003 can be previewed before applying to hard disk.
Before resizing partitions on Windows Server 2003, you'd better back up your important data for your data may be lost due to unexpected shutdown. Copy or back them up somewhere else with EASEUS Disk Copy, or your other favorite backup scripts.
