One Way to Use Unallocated Space on Your Disk

Before you create partitions, you should better to make sure the disk has unallocated space. But if there is no unallocated space how could you use unallocated space on your disk?

Here are the steps to use unallocated space on your disks:


1. Select a partition.


2. Click Partitions > Delete.


3. Select the deletion method in the Delete Partition window, you can:


Choose Delete Partition: just delete a hard disk partition without wiping disk sectors. Choose Delete Partition and Destroy Data: delete a hard disk partition and completely wipe partition sectors.


4. Click OK to confirm partition deletion in Deletion Partition window.


5. By clicking OK you will add a pending operation of partition deletion.


Then you will have unallocated space to create partitions on your disk.


 


Note:


To delete an extended partition, you should delete all logical partitions in the extended partition.


Deleting a partition destroys all its data, including files and folders! Take special care when performing this operation.
