Losing data is very frustrating, but not the end of the world. I lost my precious data and got it back. I had deleted my personal data folder in My Document on the computer, which contained tons of my family pictures, documents, and videos. Some of them are very important to me. I called one of my friends, whom is an IT specialist. He gave me a very important tip, which saved my life later.
He said "To recover your files, time is the key. The longer you leave it, the harder it becomes to recover your lost data."
After the call, I immediately shut down the computer, got the disk out and drove to my friend’s home. He put my disk into a USB enclosure and connected it to his laptop.
"You just come in time." He said. "If you had let that disk worked longer, the operating system would have created more temp files and overwritten the lost data. In that case, there is no way to recover your files."
I took a sip of lemon water to help me relax. My friend was scanning the disk with a tool called EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.
"Is it good?" I asked. "Good enough to save your data." He smiled. "It does not write anything to the disk during the scan, just a read only process. This tool is non-destructive and 100% secure."
Magnificent! After a while, this pretty software found all my files back!
I have to admit I was very lucky. And I have learned much about data recovery. Here are some tips my friend gave me.
To recover your files, time is the key. The longer you leave it, the harder it becomes to recover your lost data.
Do not use a damaged hard drive any more until you retrieve the lost data.
Try to use the non-destructive data recovery tools, such as EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, to retrieve the lost files.
